Bob Poole has specialized in Aerial Cinematography since the beginning of his shooting career. He developed several mounts for attaching cameras to fixed-wing aircraft which he used to film airplane adventure documentaries for National Geographic. Two of these films relied heavily on the mounts Bob created: "Flight Over Africa," a film about the adventure pilot Tom Claytor and "The Greatest Flight" a film about rebuilding the Vicker's Vimy WWI Bomber from its original blueprints. Bob filmed the rebuilt Vimy as it flew from England to Australia following the route Ross and Keith Smith had done in 1919. Working with the experience from those films, Bob continued developing and using aerial mounts for fixed-wing and helicopters. Today he has experience working with most commercial helicopter mounts including Tyler nose and side mounts. Recently, Bob has been fortunate to fly with Cineflex mounts and their technicians.
